We recently completed a neat little cold flat roofing installation using Alwitra VSK in Bradford on Avon. Unlike warm flat roofs, which have insulation above the roof deck, cold flat roofing keeps the insulation below, meaning the waterproofing layer is fully exposed. This type of roofing is well-suited to smaller builds, refurbishments, or situations where internal insulation is already in place—such as garages, extensions, or garden rooms. Using Alwitra VSK, a high-quality self-adhesive membrane, ensured a clean, durable finish with excellent weather resistance. It’s a cost-effective and practical choice for projects where maintaining a low roof profile is key.
