We were very honoured to have recently been given the contract to completely restore the roof of the Old Telephone Exchange building in Calne. This distinctive North Street property has an interesting local history, having once formed part of Calne’s telephone network before later becoming a private residence. As a former communications building, it remains a recognisable reminder of the town’s heritage.

For this project, Slade Roofing carried out a full re-roof using Marley Ashmore tiles, helping to refresh the appearance of the property while keeping a traditional tiled finish suited to the building’s character. A new single-ply gutter was also added to the roof as part of the works, completing the upgrade and supporting effective rainwater management for the restored residential roof.
